We have installed power saving software on all Head Office computers and introduced a new food composting scheme.
CarbonWise software monitors power usage and enables more power saving features. Activating all of the power saving features would cut carbon emissions by 91 tonnes over the next five years.
By monitoring where we are wasting power and adjusting the shut down and start up time for each individual’s computer we will be able to continue refining our system until we reach the optimum configuration.

Composting food waste
We have also started a food composting scheme that is open to all occupiers at our Head Office. We encourage staff to dispose of any food waste in our new composting bins, including cooked food and tea bags. This waste is then turned into high quality compost which is used for agriculture in Kent. All of our Head Office waste is now successfully diverted from landfill through a combination of recycling, composting and incineration.
