Service charge savings at Teesside
* Estimated electricity savings of £16,000 based on switching off lights at Teesside from 8pm until 6am at £0.08 per kWh, with additional security savings of £23,075.

The team at Teesside Shopping Park in Stockton-on-Tees reduced security costs by cutting weekly hours and negotiating lower rates.
They reviewed their whole security operation in partnership with their security provider, St James Security, to identify opportunities to cut costs whilst continuing to provide the best possible cover during busy periods.
They also installed a new switch system which enables all external lighting to be managed from the control room. Each area of the car park and section of canopy lighting can now be turned on or off at the touch of a button.
“The payback period for the switch system at Teesside is a matter of months, meaning that retailers will quickly see the financial benefits. The system will be simple to operate and will be expandable in the future if required.”
