Makeover at Dick Collins Hall

Our contractors at Regent’s Place, Bovis Lend Lease, gave a free makeover to Dick Collins Hall, creating a brighter environment for local people.

They extended their usual community day to a full week to fully transform the hall. After clearing out rubbish, the team painted walls, refurbished the kitchen, carried out carpentry improvements, modified electrics and re-carpeted this community venue.

“A miracle happened at Regent’s Park Tenants Association, Dick Collins Hall – we were given a free makeover. Nothing was too much trouble; the tradesmen were happy and very willing. The hall now looks amazing and as it is in the heart of the Regent’s Park estate it is well used for clubs, bingo, ballroom dancing, parties and drama.”

- Member of Regent’s Park Tenants Association, Jean Hurman

The hall, which is used as a social club by local residents, continues to host a range of community events. These include bingo, ballroom dancing, darts nights and majorettes, as well as parties and functions.

“We have been actively involved in regenerating West Euston, where Regent’s Place is located, since the early 1990s. We recognise that we can achieve more by working in partnership with our local communities and suppliers, and so were delighted to support this positive community initiative by Bovis Lend Lease.”

- Developments Executive at British Land, Mike Rayner, who is a Governor at local South Camden Community School
