Carbon reduction partnerships
* Savings identified in the seven participating buildings at Broadgate and Regent’s Place. Electricity cost savings based on £0.08 per kWh.

All office occupiers at 350 Euston Road signed up to the Green500 scheme to cut carbon emissions, winning a Platinum Award in 2009.
We are now working in partnership with 23 occupiers across eight buildings to reduce carbon emissions from energy use in both common parts and occupied areas.
Find out about our carbon reduction partnership at our Head Office, York House.
Electricity saving initiatives that have already been implemented are expected to reduce annual usage by 379,765 kWh in the common parts of participating buildings at Broadgate and Regent’s Place.
“We have held a series of Green Meetings with occupiers to identify pragmatic ways to achieve real reductions in energy and water use. With rising utility bills, these initiatives will help to control service charge costs, as well as saving precious natural resources and cutting carbon emissions.”

In a recent initiative with Herbert Smith, we provided them with clip-on meters to monitor real-time electricity use at Exchange House under varying conditions, from business as usual through to complete shutdown of all lighting and non-essential equipment. This will help to identify opportunities to save power out of hours.
Other initiatives include introducing lights off policies, installing solar and motion sensors, reducing run times for air conditioning systems, applying solar gain film to windows and adjusting timings on sensors so that lights are on for less time after motion detection.
