Service charge savings at Crown Point

Retailers at Crown Point North are benefiting from 25% lower security costs, without compromising safety.

This has been achieved by introducing remote monitoring overnight, to reduce the need for on-site security officers.

A new recycling initiative is also delivering value to retailers and saving precious natural resources. Cardboard and polythene are now segregated from retailer waste and sent for recycling. This has reduced waste to landfill by 37%, cutting landfill tax costs and helping the environment.

“We are always looking at ways to deliver value to our retailers, whilst increasing footfall and driving customer spend. We are also working to reduce our environmental impacts, saving precious natural resources for future generations.”

At New Mersey Shopping Park in Liverpool, Colin also provided retailers with 18% savings on energy use. He achieved this by adjusting the lighting controls, so that half of the high mast lighting automatically switches off from midnight to dawn.
