Service charge savings at Prospect Place

The team at Prospect Place introduced an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system for the car parks.

This is helping to reduce the number of people who leave their cars on site for more than two hours, freeing up spaces for customers and generating fines revenue which is then used to reduce service charge costs.

Prospect Place Shopping Park in Dartford has 669 car parking spaces and is also easily accessible on foot from the railway station.

“Previously, on-site patrols monitored car parks using handheld equipment. This cost more, was less accurate and had lower levels of enforcement. We successfully introduced the system at no cost to the retailers, as the supplier agreed to install the equipment free of charge, in return for a share of the fines revenue.”
